There is a very visible legislative leadership vacuum in DC these days. Recent events have shown how serious it has become. A great many pundits are looking at the vacuum and pointing fingers at those they believe are responsible for government ineffectiveness. Without a doubt, there is no shortage of blame to go around for the political state we find ourselves wallowing in it. Rather than point fingers and lay blame, the wiser route for membership organizations is to see the opportunity in the current situation, be unafraid to grasp it with both hands and take control for the benefit of their members.
